Cauliflower Pizzas with Crispy Oven Wings

“The best wings I’ve ever eaten at home” -Stephanie

During our gluten-free era, we discovered how delicious cauliflower pizzas can be as a fantastic alternative to traditional crusts – the cauliflower crust achieves a crispy texture and satisfying bite. Pairing these pizzas with crispy, oven-baked wings has become a favorite in our household. The wings are seasoned and baked to a perfect crispiness, offering a healthier option with less fat and calories compared to frying. This combination lets us enjoy the comfort of pizza and wings without all the guilt!

Ingredients

Pizza

  • 2 “Caulipower” Cauliflower plain pizza crusts
  • 8 oz pizza sauce
  • 1 bag of shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz of grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Wings

  • 12 Large Chicken wings
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • Blue cheese dressing (Optional)
  • Frank’s Hot Wing Sauce (Optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Coat wings liberally in olive oil, it’s helpful to toss them around in a bowl to ensure they are completely coated
  3. Place a raised wire rack on top of a baking sheet, and arrange wings 1 inch apart on top of the wire rack. Season the wings with salt, pepper, and garlic power
  4. Place wings in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. DO NOT TOUCH THEM!
  5. While the wings are baking, prepare the pizza: on another baking tray drizzle olive oil and place one cauliflower crust on top. It’s fine if the crust is frozen.
  6. Cover the crust with pizza sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese of your choice. Top with mozzarella liberally.
    • Drizzle olive oil around the edge of the cauliflower crust for optimal crisp!
  7. When the wings have 15 minutes remaining, put the pizza in the oven on another rack. This should ensure both the wings and the pizza are finished at the same time
  8. Let everything cool and slice pizza into quarters before serving. Serve wings with blue cheese and hot sauce on the side if desired.
